The Professional Women's Network, Inc. was founded in November 1979 by Jean Kruse, Liz Sparks and Carolyn Stephens. These women believed that an organization was needed in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to assist women in their upward mobility in the professional and business world. Because of the efforts, dreams, and ideals of the founders, the Professional Women's Network, Inc. is now a reality - women helping women in their search for friends, business contacts and professional development.
Mission Statement To promote and enhance the status and influence of women.
Current membership of PWN consists of positions representing all elements of service, product, and government industries in Cedar Rapids. Our members are healthcare workers, attorneys, receptionists, real estate agents, students, advertising account executives, sales representatives, stay-at-home moms, retirees, and self-employed individuals, to name a few. PWN is proud of our diverse membership as the strength of PWN is in our diversity of talents and interests, more than our similarities. On a continual basis, the actions of PWN reflect our motto - "Women Helping Women". Learn how you can join!
