PWN Shining S.T.A.R. (Special Thanks and Recognition) is a grassroots PWN recognition program designed to reward outstanding work by any individuals in our organization.
Shining Star Awards
All awards will be announced at monthly general membership meetings, The recipient will be presented with a PWN coffee mug or other small token of appreciation along with official recognition at a PWN General meeting, announcement in the Networker and on the PWN website, www.pwn.org.
How To Nominate
Any PWN member can be nominated. Nominations can be made on the PWN website by filling out the form at http://www.pwn.org/content.asp?ID=1570. Self nominations are also accepted. Nominations need to be e-mailed to Shelley Woods by the second Wednesday in order to be considered that month.
In the comments section, please include the person(s) you are nominating along with a brief description of why she should receive the Award.
Selection Process
All nominees will be reviewed monthly by the PWN Board and one will be selected to be honored at the next meeting.
Examples:
- A committee member who is always willing to lend a hand.
- Worked over and above to get a PWN project done.
- Assisted a PWN member that was having car trouble.
- Helped a PWN member with computer problems.
- Frequently introduces new members and guests to others.
- Willing to take on additional committee duties when needed.
- Always has a positive attitude.
- Spends own resources (time or money) to help advance PWN causes.
